Hawkshead Show

Set in the Vale Of Esthwaite, The Hawkshead Show has a rich history dating back over a century. Originally established as a small gathering of local farmers and nature enthusiasts, such as the famous William Wordsworth & Beatrix Potter, who both happen to be one of the founder members.

The show field is situated half a mile north of our quaint village.

With plenty of attractions for people to see all day – From judging of all horse classes ranging from the miniatures to the heavy horses. Private driving (horse & small carriage) and jumping classes. Judging of a large variety of sheep along with dogs & cattle.

The Horticultural is a must to see. With home produce, flowers vegetables, arts & crafts.

With its long-standing tradition of excellence, The Hawkshead Show has become a must-visit for anyone passionate about wildlife and conservation.
